In honour of last week’s Playworld Superheroes announcement, we’ve decided to try to be heroes in our hometown of Liverpool, by supporting the many wonderful charity events currently happening in the city. Each day during Hero Week, we’ll show our support for a new charity or cause close to our hearts.
Day One sees us support Radio City’s Mission Christmas Event. Every year, thousands of kids will wake up to nothing on Christmas morning. While the rest of the country eat, drink and be merry to the bleeps and squeaks of new toys and gadgets, for many children, Christmas is just another day.
Radio City’s Mission Christmas aims to help those children, by asking the inhabitants of Liverpool to donate one extra, new and unwrapped present for children aged 0 to 18. With many drop-off points around the city, donating your gifts is easy. We’re lucky to be located next to one of the drop-off points, Liverpool’s Studio School.

Here are some of the team’s donations. We hope that they bring a smile to a few faces on Christmas morning. It’s really easy to help out. Just pick up an extra present when you’re out shopping and drop off at one of the many pick-up points dotted about the city. The team need your toys by Friday 19th December so that they can get the gifts to the organisations supporting the children that need them.
